Project Work
We want to get you the most for your money, each Phonewire consultant is billed based on the level of skill they have reached and the type of work being done. You don’t have to pay premium rates for simple tasks, yet we have the depth to meet any needs you may have. For creative work, such as research, planning, or web site design, one all-inclusive total project price may be quoted.
All work is billed by the project, including travel time when needed. Our rates may vary per project, please call for additional information. A 10% discount will be applied to projects (off-site hours) after 40 hours of work with one client in a calendar year. Increased discounts for annual contracts.
Technical Work
We tend to charge a little less than our competitors for the same experts, so that you are left feeling like you got “more than your money’s worth”. We also stand behind our troubleshooting: If we can’t fix the problem, you won’t be charged.
On-Site
1-hour minimum billing, per 15 minutes thereafter.

$110/hour for all technology work, except telecommunications.

$90/hour for telecommunications work.

Off-Site
$8 per Remote Support Unit (1 unit = 6 minute block)

Remote Support includes email support, phone calls, research, screen sharing, web seminar training, etc.

For example:

For 10 minutes on the phone, we bill 2 units ($16).

For 13 minutes fixing an issue via screen sharing, we bill 3 units ($24)

New clients are required to prepay 6 units via credit card prior to our initial appointment.
Regular Operating Hours
Our normal business hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Central Standard Time, closed on weekends and holidays. Work outside of these business hours will be billed at 1.5-times the rate.
Travel Fees
Travel fees are accrued in the following method: round trip mileage between our office (Zip Code 62208) and your service location, as calculated by Google Maps, multiplied by the IRS Standard Mileage Rate (currently $0.555/mile, $0.56/mile rounded).
For out of town jobs, all reasonable travel and accommodation expenses are billed, from start of trip to finish.
Cancellation Policy
Due to the high demand for appointments and our desire to help as many of our clients as possible, we have had to implement a strict cancellation policy:
If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, there will be cancellation fee equal to one hour’s rate.
